Why is "It isn't too hot in Sweden" not acceptable?

Wouldn't that be "Chan eil i ro theth an t-Suain?

Chan eil i ro theth anns an t-Suain, or
Chan eil i ro theth san t-Suain

An can mean 'in' or 'the' but it can't do both at the same time.

It should be an t-Suain without a space

I don't know where you saw it with a space but Duolingo does have technical problems with spaces and hyphens so there is often nothing the mods can do about it.
