Read and listen real French
Today I found a site where you can choose a book to be readed in a real French nice voice. I have been reading De la Terre a la Lune from Jules Verne, and, I also found the book in another site so while I was listening to the French girl reading I myself was reading online, thus checking the pronounciation of lots of words. From time to time, I could stop de audio and repeat the sentence to myself to see wether I could manage to say it the same way. The French girl reads very fast so I had to be very concentrated to follow her and also to grasp the meaning of the words. Well, I found it funny and a nice way to improve pronounciation.
Here are de links:
Thanks! I found some of my favorite books there and really love the audio voices.
That's awesome. I like to watch French movies with Kristin Scott Thomas to improve my comprehension because French is her second language so it's easier to understand with her slight English accent, but most of the other actors are native French speakers so you still get the full immersion experience.
Merci! You're right that the reader seems to speak very fast, but I'm going to try listening to a sentence or two at a time like you are doing. It's so much more interesting than basic vocabulary and reading Verne in the original is something I've been wanting to do.
