"Free" Plus trial intentionally impossible to cancel?

Two days left before my free Plus trial is up.... And the option to cancel the trial does not exist in the app! App says that I will be charged on December 2, 2019.

Is this legal? How do I cancel the trial?

I've already seen other reports of Duolingo Plus users being fraudulently charged against their authorization - with no obvious way to contest the charges through the app. Who should this be reported to? Through a lawsuit? Etc?

The "option" to cancel through Google does not exist! The so-called "free" Plus trial has not yet charged to my Google account - so the ability to cancel the trial subscription very cleverly does not exist!

A paid subscription first has to exist in the Google account/purchase history in order for it to be then cancelled!

I've found ways to cancel the subscription on Duolingo Plus . First , you have to open the Google Play Store . Then ; tap menu icon ( find "SUBSCRIPTION" ) . Select the subscription you want to cancel , tap cancel subscriptions before the free week ends. Lastly choose your reason why are you cancelling the subscription . I hope this is helpful.
