Link App to Website

I've been using the Android App exclusively. Today I decided to use the web site as typing on a regular keyboard is more efficient for me. When I log into my account on the web site none of the progress I've made using the App is recorded. Is this by design? I'm using the same login credentials for both the app, and the web site.

Probably, you have two Duolingo accounts.

  • log in by using the same username (or email address) and password as in your App.

Yep, I did think of that and made sure to log into both using the same username and password.

Did you choose " I already have an account" when you logged in to the web site?

Here's an UNBELIEVABLE update. I've received several suggestions to log out, and log back in again which I've done several times on the web site. I just did the same with the mobile app, and all of my progress for the past 6 weeks have not disappeared. It's as though I've not used Duolingo at all in the past year.

Yes; when logging in on the web site I chose "I already have an account".

What browser do you use? Try refreshing the web page ( both languages you learn)

Excellent suggestion. I should have tried that before posting. Still, it didn't solve the issue. I was using Firefox, and just logged in with Chrome. Both are showing exactly the same thing. It seems the web site has record of my first week, or two, but is not up-to-date with the App.

Go to the app and do a lesson, then refresh the web page, but don't log out of the app. Sometimes I have to go to the shop then back to learn or switch between the languages till the web updates.

Nope; no joy on that either. When looking at my profile on the web site, I do note it shows 3636 xp, which would be consistent with the progress over the past 5-6 weeks. The rest of the recorded data, however, is wrong.

I see your last lesson was over a year ago. Log out and in again on the web page or maybe if you wait til you did tomorrows lesson it will solve the problem. Sorry, I can't help you anymore, good luck!
