In Scotland we do not use the word "pants" we use the word trousers. Pants = underpants in understanding over here.

What we understand by "pants" is DRATHAIS. BRIOGAIS are what we call TROUSERS.

The way I am remembering the gaelic briogais, is what my granny from Scotland would say "britches" for pants, trousers, you name it " Go and get your britches on!"
