Scottish Gaelic

Thank you so much for introducing this course. I've been waiting for a long time. The only problem is the accents (written not spoken). Would it be possible to give accented vowels underneath the translation exercises the way it's done for French and Spanish. This would be really helpful.

Hey, that is in the works. Just take another week or so. Duo staff are on it and the script is already written.

I'm Scotish. Mother grew up speaking gaelic on Lewis but put it aside when she came south. I'm so glad of this opportunity to learn her first language.

"but put it aside"

Interestingly this is a slightly unusual thing to say in English but it sort of mirrors what you'd say in Gaelic ("cuir an dàrna taobh"). Wonder if you picked it up from your mother?

I see you are following me. I don't get involved in that so won't be reciprocating.
