yo puse my brother plays y me lo puso como error diciendo que plays solo se usa en 3ra persona del singular. ¿Acaso mi hermano no es tercera persona del singular? Este duolingo acaba con los corazones...
Hi Letirile. Se agregaría la "s" si dijera: «Mi hermano toca el violín» → My brother plays the violin.
Sí pero para traducirse en infinitivo le falta un "to" o al menos finalizar en "ing", tal y como está escrito es muy extraño... ¿Es correcto?
Hola MacocaMoloca. En este contexto NO se escribe "...to play...", por la presencia del 'complemento u objeto' (en este caso: my brother); pero, sí puede escribirse "playing".
- He listens to HIMSELF playing the violin. (Él se escucha tocar el violin. / Él se escucha a sí mismo tocando el violín.) _Objeto: Himself.
- My sister listens to ME play the flute. (Mi hermana me escucha tocar la flauta.) _Objeto: Me.

in this verb as " listen to ( her, him, me, it, mary, peter ) play, drink, see,( piano, beer, california girls ) , they are in infinitive (always) when it is this verb form , you have to learn or memorize them!.
