What was wrong with just Eòrpa?
Are there any other toponyms with Roinn-?

Does the word roinn by itself mean anything? I thought eorpa was Europe and roinn eorpa the eu but i said european union and got it wrong

Roinn is just like a section of area. The E.U would be an t-Aonadh Eòrpach.

Would this be more akin to saying some of Europe or rather referencing the rest of Europe outside of the British Isles?

right, cause i know the word form 'Roinn na Celtis is na Gàihdlig'

so i keep reading this as the 'Europe Department'
