Bugs vandals or what?

Several times now I have translated a paragraph only to have it almost immediately altered where the whole of the translation has been replaced by just one or two words. If I remember correctly twice both names ended in 1_7 or something similar. Is this a bug or vandalism or something else?

Not a bug, but small minded people that think points are more important than actually learning a language. I suspect these people will either be weeded out or grow tired of it.

maybe adding a "report" button that will restore spammed-translated pages? Or marking a translation as "bad"?

I'd say a "report" button to red-flag a user name would be helpful, if they're just breaking things for a high score, which would maybe lock up their "immersion" access if they'd been flagged multiple times. I say multiple times because I suspect a "report" button would sometimes be unintentionally abused by rule-abiding users who don't like their translations being altered.

I luckily haven't come across this happening yet, and I can imagine how frustrating it would be. However I think that if and when I do, I'll abandon the article for someone who hasn't invested time in it yet, and move on to something new. That crowd-source vandalism will be cleaned up by someone else later. There are far more of us than there are of them.
