How would you say 'a nice mouse'?

It would be luch snog. Tha luch snog agam "I have a nice mouse".

Is there a related word for “gerbil”? In some languages, the word for gerbil means roughly, ‘desert mouse’.

Where does the word 'gerbil' come from? I expect Gaels would use 'gerbil' rather than inventing a new word.

I actually looked it up in Am Faclair Beag-- it's luchag-fhasaich, 'small desert mouse'. So I guessed right, apparently.

The word 'gerbil' is French in origin, from gerbille.
