Translation:There is brilliant black pudding in Stornoway.

December 23, 2019

How would you say "The black pudding in Stornoway is brilliant"?

Oh, yes, it's arguably the best there is. It's pretty peppery, but it has a crumblier, lighter texture than some of its competitors. Glè bhlasta. :)

It is the best black pudding I've ever tasted.

Stornoway has the world's best, in fact

My fishmonger, who's from Fife, agrees it's top-notch, and, like me, enjoys it with scallops. However, he says he prefers that made by Grants, formerly of Dornoch, now of Grantown-on-Spey, where the factory is, though there's still a shop in Dornoch, as well as in Grantown. I've not tasted it, but if I come across it any time, I'll certainly give it a go. :)
