It is worth mentioning that tìoraidh an-dràsta is a perfectly normal thing to say in Gaelic, although I have never heard anyone say bye just now. The normal translation would be bye for now, which I think may be particularly prevalent in Scotland, precisely because it translates this Gaelic phrase.
