"Bidh mi a' cadal a dh'aithghearr."

Translation:I will be sleeping soon.

Dh'aithghearr is one hell of a work. It sounds simpler than it looks. Why such a complex word for soon?


No one seems to know. I have discussed it here.

    Why does "I will be sleeping" work for this but not "I will sleep"?


    Why the dh'? Or is that discussed in the link above as well? I couldn't get it to work..


    I can confirm that the link still works, but the main reason is probably that it is easier to say.
