So, what is the difference between dòigheil and tha gu math?

" Well.." was asked for, not "I am well"

'I am well' > 'Tha mi gu math'. :)

I thought it was an exclamation..as in Oh well......

Twice I've done this one without thinking about it and tried uill tapadh leat and seadh. Tapadh leat. I'll eventually remember it's "well as in things are well", not well as in "I don't really want to talk so thanks bye" :)

"Tapadh leat," is "leat" pronounced "let" or "late?"

More like "let", generally speaking. Another really common pronunciation is like "lot", optionally with a slight aspiration before the "t".

Thought it was the "well this compliment was unexpected, thank you" kind of 'well'
