Sound between words in Arabic

When Duolingo reads a sentence in arabic, I often hear a sound like "ton" at the end of the words.

I also hear it on the google translator. For example https://translate.google.com/?um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&client=tw-ob#view=home&op=translate&sl=en&tl=ar&text=an%20important%20university

For jamieat muhima (an important university) I hear something like jamieaton muhimaton.

What is this? Is this part of the language?
