Why does bus have an "h" in it? Is this a typo? I just learned the word without the "h" and the spoken content didn't seem to change the "b" to the bh "v" sound.

Listen again, it does change, but you are probably used to hearing a typical English vee sound, rather than a Gaelic bh / mh sound. (And this particular speaker is especially far from the English sound)

As for being a typo, no, absolutely not. You must lenite (if possible) after 'aon'.

Sounds like a v to me
