This Hawaiian sentence means "The juice is all gone", right?

If someone said "The juice is finished", I would normally think that they meant "the juice is ready", not that "the juice is all gone".

Should not "Finished the juice" also be accepted for "Pau ka wai hua'ai", if "done eating" is accepted for "Pau ka 'ai"?

The juice is done is not accepted.
