Not too long ago, I saw a film about the Scottish wildcat and the efforts to preserve it. ("The Tigers of Scotland" - I saw it on Netflix Canada, and it's still there, and well worth a watch.) Here's some background on these lovely but rare creatures from a group dedicated to saving them and restoring their population. http://www.scottishwildcataction.org/about-us/

"Cross" is British word, and unusual for North Americans., who might use "angry" or "mad" instead.
