Duolingo saved me from wasting time.
Before I discovered Duolingo, I spent more time than I care to admit goofing off on the computer. Now, I use that time for building my abilities and amazing myself on my progress. In school, I suffered studying French…too much information piled on top of too much information. Now: the joy of learning…self correction…and more learning. And you? Love those hard won success stories.
lol hilarious! My FB friends can keep their little Candy Crush and other game request invites. I've found the perfect addiction in Duo!
I see he's got the Lipton tea vibe goin on too.... but that's none of my business. oh and btw, lingots for the good message
lol imgflip strikes again! have a lingot for your efforts :) ps how do you edit these on there? Do you have to have an account?
I just created a quick account. There's a Create Image button in the upper left, and from there I can edit hundreds of memes. Gracias por el lingote. :)
You're hilarious, I love people who act like you! Always joyful! You made my day! THANKS!
Duolingo saved me from wasting my summer. I have a few months free. Usually I would sleep most of the day away and watch TV when I was awake. Now I am spending my time more productively. Thank you Duolingo and my mother thanks you too :D
Yep, same here. There's a lot of down time that I used to waste playing Plants vs Zombies, Deer Hunter 2014 or whatever the app of the week was. Now every time I pull out my phone to waste a minute or two I'm doing Duolingo and actually making use of that time that would have been otherwise wasted.
So glad I found this! Only started recently but it makes learning fun and not too hard, which is what I need really. I've always loved the French language, and I know a bit already, so that's what I'm learning.
I still waste a lot of time, but I certainly waste less now that I use Duolingo. Without it, I certainly wouldn't have gone from being an absolute beginner to a moderately fluent speaker as quickly as I did. It's even possible that I wouldn't have sustained the self-discipline that it takes to learn languages in the absence of a killer app like Duolingo.
It's remarkable to me what fun Duolingo makes of once-onerous tasks like memorization and translation. It's made knowledge of a language so simple to acquire that soon—in a few years, even—people will hardly be impressed by multilingualism.
