I hope everyone has a great Robert Burns night! Who else is celebrating it?
Sharing our table with you:
Tha uisge-beatha sin fìor mhath!
I spent most of the day playing Burns tunes with my Scottish fiddle friends. Now it's time for whisky!
I celebrated singing Ye banks and braes on my vocal lesson :)
We had everything from My heart's in the Highlands to Auld lang syne... Listening, drinking whisky and shedding the occasional tear. How can one miss a country that much without even being born there?
Uh, I almost forgot! Thanks for reminding us...
Dinner is already gone, but we got out the Burns poems and the whisky is ready.
You saved the evening, have ten lingots!
Same to you.
Also, not to be that guy, but it would be Oidhche Robert Burns sona dhuibh
Thanks, I am not that experienced in Scottish Gaelic yet, but I hopefully will be soon!
Slàinte mhath!! :D
I celebrated by listening to a Burns Night radio program! Such lovely music. Everything from A man's a man for a' that to Auld Lang Syne . But I didn't know it was Burns night 'till you told me...…………. That explains a thing or two!
I tried - but there is no RBD dinners in this town! Ugh! So we just listened to celtic music instead, and sang along with the Rankin family in their gaelic songs!
