Technical trouble with "About Me" lesson?

I was able to start the "About Me" lesson a few days ago and am now on Level One of it, but haven't been able to access it to work on the lesson since. Whenever I click on it (on desktop, I should note), it seems to start to load, then defaults to just displaying the general Learn screen and not taking me into the lesson. Is this a known issue/is there a fix?

Hey, what browser and device are you using? Is it a problem on other browsers too? Can you try clearing your browser's cache and trying again? And then let me know how it goes! Thank you!

Ubuntu and Chrome. I tried it in Incognito mode instead of clearing my cache - no luck. My techie husband says that there are Javascript errors in the console. Hope that helps!

Maybe the reason of the problem is the same new Java thingy than for this problem in the linked thread. I suggest you read Thomas Heiss comments.

I was 'discussing' this with another user today who is experiencing the same problem. I can't get in to start level one whereas the next two skills behave normally which suggests it is a local rather than system thing. It stymies my progress tho, which is pretty frustrating.

Hi. I'm using Chrome on Android. I've tried Edge on my PC but that just gives me a white page for the whole tree! What I find strange is that the next two skills on the tree behave normally. I'll be stuck in practice mode until it resolves. Judging by comments Duo have done something over the weekend. I've reported it to Duo but they want a lot of info on top of what I've given them before they proceed - an unhelpful generic response

Please give Duolingo as much info as you can. This seems to be affecting only a few users, and none of us have the issue so we can't check it ourselves. We only know what you guys have told us so far.

I also couldn't start level 0 in About Me today. When I pressed 'start lesson' it just bounced me back to the form.

This is a problem for me on a MacBook on both Chrome and Safari, and clearing the cache has no effect.

Halò a charaidean, I'm also not able to get to the next level on the "About Me" lesson on my desktop, using Chrome browser. However, I was able to get from Level 1 to Level 2 on my iPhone, so I can continue to work at it from there. But I would much prefer using my desktop. I did report the bug earlier today, so hopefully they're able to figure out what is causing the problem before too long. Tapadh leibh!

I'm having the same problem with the free Gaelic Duo lingo 'about me' section. I'm up to the last 40% of level 4 but it hasn't worked since Mon 3rd Feb. Next 3 sections all work. I'm on a mac book air using safari. I haven't tried emptying cache - don't see why that would work with only one section, but will give it a try. (I did think that the Gaelic duo lingo team might be making corrections to the Gaelic word 'Fuil' so the section was shut.) It comes just after the XP points not being added up (though measured on the graph). But it is a beta test, so not too hassled - I just added info in case it's all linked.
