The book has quite a few other things that, if I feel better later (I've been having a lot of headaches lately), I'll try to put up.

Hi there! Nice list indeed...

A couple of improvements, maybe:

  • At what time does the train for ... leave? - À quelle heure part le train pour ... ?

  • J'en ai marre ! - I'm fed up! - Variant: J'en ai ras le bol !

  • Ah, mais ça s'arrose ! - Let's drink to it!
  • Mais oui, cause toujours, tu m' intéresses... - Keep talking...
  • Par ici la bonne soupe ! - Send it over here!
  • Une fois n'est pas coutume. - Just this once.

@kimojima- that's right, we often say that, but amour is masculine in the singular, and feminine in the plural, so we have " à tes amours...qu'elles durent toujours"

Geat list! Merci! One that has been really useful for me is when ordering water in a restaurant, you can ask for une carafe d'eau and not have to pay for bottled water. I found this in Stephen Clarke's Talk to the Snail. Also it's good to really know numbers. I don't practice them much, but when shopping the other day in Strasbourg I had to ask for a larger sized jacket for my husband. I surprised myself that I came up with cinquante-huit without thinking too long.

It took us a few days to learn "une carafe d'eau" the first time we went to France, but it was a lifesaver. Not only do we not like bottled water, it saved us a small fortune!
