To remember use a mnemonic like ''big, fast, mother pig'' or whatever works for you.

Why and when do I use "am" or "an" after "ann". I know that "an" is "the", but why use ann am for "in" when referring to a town or City, does that question make sense?

An becomes am before words starting with b, p, m, or f.
