Getting Started

Are there directions somewhere? How does one get started with Duolingo? I want to keep up my Spanish language skills (I did Spanish ministry for twelve years before I retired, but no longer have an opportunity to use the language) but am not sure where/how to access the resources of Duolingo, and can't seem to find my way in...

Could you be more specific about what you are struggling with? Your profile shows that you've already completed quite a few lessons, so you seem to be doing fine. You could try testing out individual lessons or a whole set of lessons with the Keyhole buttons if you feel that you're going too slow.

But you did find your way in...hover over the left hand icon and choose a language. Then the best advice is to follow the directive of the caterpillar in "Alice In Wonderland": Start at the beginning and when you get to the end, stop.
