"Cha bu toil leam a' bhò."

Translation:I would not like the cow.

Why is it not an bho for the cow? I just wonder what the reasoning behind this is.


The notes say that the definite article for feminine words beginning with B C G P or M is a' + lenition. e.g. bò becomes a' bhò.
