"Tha e ag iarraidh bròg."

Translation:He is wanting a shoe.

February 17, 2020

Is this the same as "He wants a shoe?" or is it more of "He is in want of a shoe?" i.e., he lacks the shoe?

Actually, both. If you want to physically ask for something you would also use iarraidh

Whoever bought 1 shoe? - and if you did you need to say whether left or right. Best to use normal language.
