co mheud or cia mheud? Which is correct and when?

It's actually just a standardisation thing. According to the Gaelic Orthographic Convention, cia mheud is the spelling that ought to be used. As for why both ways are taught on the course - it was an accident. The course had been released before we noticed :) We have got rid of cò mheud in Tree 2.

Same. I tried Cia mheud and it marked it wrong, but i thought either one was acceptable

Me too! What is the rule here?

I think it's an old phrase they've not updated yet. Cia is the modern preferred spelling.
