Whereabouts in Scotland are you planning to visit in June? Excellent time of year to come here, especially if the weather is good, and there's a fair chance of that. It doesn't really get dark, especially in the more northerly counties.

Thank you. We will have 2 weeks to go from Edinburgh along the east coast to Portsoy (The boat festival), to Inverness (Europian Piping Championship) and the Isle of Skye.

You might find some Gaelic speakers in Skye. Last time I was there the wife of the family where we stayed (B&B) was a native Gaelic speaker and her husband called it "a language for drunk men and religious fanatics"!!
