I've been turning on BBC Alba every evening and watching whatever comes on. The programmes for the tiny kiddies are especially interesting as of course they aren't subtitled. I've progressed from picking out odd words to picking out whole phrases and quite a lot of words. I think I even understood a joke in "The BFG" on Saturday evening. The gap in comprehension between material recorded specifically for learners with the sentence structure and vocabulary kept very simple, and the real thing even if it's only the children's programmes, is salutory, but I can understand more every week and Rome wasn't built in a day.



Is equally good, if the above doesn't work.
