Japanese?

Is there any plans to add Japanese as a study language?

Not currently. We're working on ways for community members to add languages. We'll keep you in the loop about that.

It sounds interesting, but at the same time... People adding their own languages sounds a bit messy-- as if there will be more room for mistakes in translation and the like!

Oh no! I thought the team is working on Chinese and Japanese, now that Portuguese and Italian are included on duolingo.. I was really looking forward to it learning both!! :(
