Links: Spanish TV with Subtitles

Hi All,

I’m perhaps a little over halfway through my tree and just beginning to delve into the world of native resources and I thought I’d share some links to some Spanish TV (from Spain).

As many of you are probably aware but perhaps bears repeating, RTVE, the spanish national tv station has started adding subtitles to some shows for the hard of hearing (yay for us).

Now, I live in Denmark and there is no restriction on the content (for which I was pleasantly surprised). Please let me know if you can access these in your region also, or if it is only EU. Please don’t down vote if you can’t

One great topical news show is Comando Actualidad

http://www.rtve.es/alacarta/videos/comando-actualidad/comando-sol-como-pez-agua/2650576/

That is the latest show. There is an option to Ver con subtitulos. You can also get the full transcription at the sidebar.

This one is a bit of a cheesy soap opera, not my thing, but maybe some of you will like it

The big hit show in spain right now seems to be master chef. They are going crazy for it.

Again, please let me know if these links also work in your region, my apologies if they don’t but please respect that european learners do have access to these and they are probably most interested in Iberian spanish, so please don’t down vote.

This is great!! I've been looking for something to watch that has subtitles to help me out a little.

I tried watching a dubbed/subtitled movie on Netflix and it turned out that the dubbing and the subtitles had been translated totally independently from one another (actor: "perdón!", subtitle: "lo siento!", me: "grrrrrrrrrrrr!").

Only the third link worked for me. I'm in the US - not sure why the second link wouldn't work.

My mistake - I am on my phone and must have scrolled through too quickly on my first reading! The third link, not the second, works for me as well.

A piece of advice, don't watch Master Chef when you're hungry. The Spanish have some serious skills in the kitchen.

Hello to everyone from Serbia. I'd like to share a link with you. It is a Spanish television station Antena3. There are no subtitles. But their program is excellent. Regular watching their programs. Emissions and series that I like to watch: Tu cara me suena, Pesadilla en la cocina, Sin indentidad and Aqui no hay quien viva.

When I took college Spanish, about 100 years ago, I had to watch an episode of "Destinos" every week. It was a Spanish soap opera, for lack of a better word. An old gentleman discovers that his first wife didn't die in an explosion like he thought she had, and she had had a child. He hires a female attorney to travel around and look for her. The abogada travels around and you are schooled in all kinds of things - hotels, restaurants, dealing with all kinds of people, shopping, food, everything - I found it online, but I don't remember where. I know I found it by simply searching for "Destinos". The program was developed specifically for those learning Spanish and was quite interesting, as well.
