So what is it about loquor/loqueris/loquitor that makes these passive forms?

It's a deponent verb, it uses passive endings instead of active forms for an active voice.

Normally, third conjugation verbs use -or, -eris, and -itur for the passive voice and -(i)o, -is, and -it for the active.
