Difference in iOS apps?
Hi, my wife and I both study Spanish on the iOS7 Duolingo app (iPad). I have the option to practice and duel friends while she does not. Both of us have up-to-date versions. Why can't my wife duel people like me?
Actually, I downloaded it months before her and we have both downloaded the most recent updates.
I believe it is an A/B test, but I wish my wife could get the added features. In my app there is a menu bar at the bottom which has icons for..."learn" "practice" "shop". She has no menu bar at all. Furthermore, even though we are "friends" and follow each other's progress, I cannot challenge her to a duel. The closest option for her to "practice" would be repeating lessons she has already done. Oh, and also when she logs into the website, she does not get the option to see her list of learned words. I'm hoping someone can explain how she can get the missing features.
There's not even a shop? That seems strange, I'm not sure why they would A/B test that.
Does swiping from the left edge/tapping the icon on the top left show any of those options?
Oh, and also when she logs into the website, she does not get the option to see her list of learned words.
That's definitely an A/B test, I and lots of other users don't have that either.
I'm hoping someone can explain how she can get the missing features.
The only real options are to keep creating new accounts until you get one that has the features you want or to just wait until Duolingo gives them to you. (Assuming this is actually a feature test and not a bug.)
