Lost my streak, lost my motivation; but it's coming back

I lost my 30+ day streak and now I've kind of had a month off due to lack of motivation, I just got really busy for a week and was able to get a few freezes up, but one day I forgot and that was that.

I've had a month off now, but I'm on a 2 day streak now and I'm going to France next week, so I figure I should probably get back in the swing of it all.

Does anyone else have any similar experiences of losing their streak or losing their motivation? I'd love to hear how you've overcome these issues.

Cheers,

Cephlin

Well, I obviously didn't lose my streak, but I lost my motivation 3 months ago and that lasted for 2 months. I just maintained the streak but didn't learn anything new and valuable on DuoLingo. It was because of my life and you have to be true to yourself why you are learning the language. If you have a clear plan and goal and nothing that distracts you, then you'll find your motivation again. Don't think about it too much, just do it. But that's the hardest part, I know.

I lost my streak and motivation to learn ever since I moved to Canada for school. It has been taking up so much of my time that I barely slept during school days. Right now I'm on my summer vacation and I really just want to improve more of my French skills. Maybe someday I might be able to visit Quebec City without having to peek at my French dictionary!
