I would like a "time left" indicator for my streak ...

It would be nice to know how nice we have left before loosing our streak bonus. There is a little green check mark that sort of indicate that everything is fine, but when the mark is not there we don't really know how low is our timer.

The streak expires if you skip a day and don't have a streak freeze. I'm pretty sure a "day" is determined according to what your account's timezone is. If you go from midnight to midnight without gaining an experience point, and you don't have a freeze, your streak expires. Otherwise, it doesn't.

You don't need a timer.

I think that would make that icon a little cramped. Making the streak into a gateway (another page) where we can see that information would be better, IMO. But generally, I don't mind. If I don't have the check, I translate a sentence, check a translation, or do a lesson/practice. If I do, good for me.

Oh, just checking a single sentence maintains the streak ? What i did when out of time was to simply redo a beginner lesson ;-)

When you have a high enough tier. It's around level 4 that you can simply check and maintain.
