"Afiliate" relates to "filia"?

Hi! It's affiliate, and I have a tip if you need to find out the etymology of a word. Google (not usually reliable in the translating sense) has word origins for English words! All you have to do is search up the word and definition after it, and a dictionary block will show up on the left side of your screen. Clicking more will let you see the origin of the word. It says filius, by the way, but you can safely assume it's a derivative of filia as well.
