Difference between French and Dutch flag-medal thingies on Achievements?..
I've dabbled in French for a lesson or two, and just now I'm starting the Dutch course (how couldn't I!! <3), so I have both flags on the Achievements list on my profile. Although next to names on the forums, the French and Dutch icons are of course pretty different, on Achievements, they seem identical. That's a little confusing. Am I blind to subtle color differences/distinctions, or just over-thinking this? Surely the Dutch team has noticed this design detail, thorough, enthusiastic, and devoted as they are. There's probably a perfectly obvious explanation I'm missing.
Just pointing it out, to discuss. :) I come in peace, of course. (And thank you so, SO much for this fabulous course, Dutch team! I'm so excited to continue learning!)
We're working on it! ^_^
We thought we'd caught this issue early and fixed it... I guess not D:
Of course we want there to be a distinction between the two medals!
What's a medal if you can't show it off? ;)
Shouldn't the red band in the flag of the Netherlands be on the left when hung vertically?
You could use the List of abbrevations for countries (ISO 639-1 codes) and write that somehow in the ribbons --> thus they are pretty easily distinguishable.
Thanks for your reply! That's what I kinda assumed, I was just curious. =)
The Dutch medal was originally just straight across at the bottom, instead of cut at the bottom like the other flags. They changed it though, so now it's identical to French. I don't know how it should be displayed...
