The alternative

A bheil fàladair ann an Steòrnabhagh?
Is there a reaper in Stornoway?

is perfectly valid. Not only did they have human reapers in areas inaccessible to combine harvesters, but I am sure the Grim Reaper visits sometimes.

Edit: this is one of those questions where you have to choose the correct word to fit in the gap, with no English provided. The choices were feòladair 'butcher' and fàladair 'reaper'. So it is an impossible question as both make sense and both are grammatically correct. D
