I spelled another "eila" by mistake but wasn't corrected. Are both acceptable?


No, and eila breaks the leathan ri leathan, caol ri caol (broad with broad, slender with slender) rule of the orthography (a consonant might have either broad – a, u, o – vowels on its sides, or slender ones – e, i – but never a slender one on one side and a broad one on another; loand-words and compounds being exceptions).
