Flirten (Flirting Bonus skill)

Why not some Dutch Flirting lessons? They can be useful on your trip to the Netherlands, Flanders, Suriname and the Dutch Antilles.

Je ziet er beeldschoon uit.: You look beautiful. (Usually to a woman )

Je ziet er knap uit.: You look handsome. (Usually to a man)

Je bent een stuk.: You are a hot girl/guy.

Jouw ogen zijn als sterren.: Your eyes are like stars. /You have beautiful eyes

Ben je uit de hemel gevallen?: Did you fall out of heaven?

Ik hou(d) van jou.: I love you.

Dat is mijn vriend/vriendin.: That's my boy/girlfriend. or That's my friend.

Dat is mijn lief.: That's my boy/girlfriend.

Bij jou thuis of bij mij thuis?: Your place or mine?

Is jouw vader een piraat? Want jij bent wel echt een schat!: Is your father a pirate? Because you are really a treasure! (Schat is also used as darling, honey... a sweet person)

Zelfs als er op aarde geen zwaartekracht zou zijn, zou ik nog steeds voor je vallen.: Even if there was no gravity on Earth, I'd still fall for you.

Li'l footnote: "Dat is mijn lief" is actually Flemish. You won't hear a Dutch person saying this, except perhaps in the southern regions of the country!

Thank you! I've looked this one up before (I wasn't sure) and it wasn't mentioned that it was Flemish/Belgian. Good to know this isn't used in the northern part of the Netherlands!
