That depends on your operating system.
Windows: Hold ALT, then type the corresponding numerical ASCII code for the character.
macOS: Go to Settings>Keyboard Settings. There should somewhere be an option to add a Unicode keyboard. Then, a small flag representing the language you were previously using should appear up by your clock somewhere. Click on that flag, and go down to the symbol with the 'U+' on it. Now you should be able to hold down OPTION while typing the corresponding Unicode code to type the letter.
GNU/Linux & Most Other Unices: Press CTRL+SHIFT+u. Then type the Unicode code for that letter.
