Accents in the French language

Hi Everyone, I have a question: "This is presented = Ceci est présenté" If I write "Ceci est presente" can it be considered a forgetfulness or is it actually a mistake?

I thank you for any reply :)

It is a mistake and some will see it as forgetfulness.

 Présente Adj. fem. : present
✓ Présente Conjugation of présenter : introduces
Présenté Past part. from présenter : introduced

2020-04-03 It is helpful to think of letters with diacritics (accents, cedilles, and the like) as completely different letters, not just the same letters with marks. With that in mind, "presente" is just as much a misspelling as "ackshually". ;)

Timor mortis conturbat me.

It’s just plain wrong. “presente” does not mean the same thing.

If you find it frustrating to type in codes for the accents, you may want to try the international keyboard option in Windows: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/306560/how-to-use-the-united-states-international-keyboard-layout-in-windows

Once you get used to it, you can type pretty fast, and the consistency can help you remember which words need accents. :)

forgetfullness, unfortunately
