Un peu d'accent - is it completely wrong ? Merci

J'ai un petit accent du sud de la France.
J'ai un peu l'accent du sud de la France.
Je parle avec un peu d'accent.

Nope, the second one is not correct and not accepted in Duo

What on earth does "I have a little accent" mean?

"I have a slight accent" would be better, wouldn't it?

The English sentence is bizarre. I am a native English speaker and I have never heard anyone say "I have a little accent." They might say "I have a bit of an accent."

Merci. Ce n'est pas facille

Actually you could say J'ai un peu d'accent. But once you specify which accent you have, it will be more probably l'accent du sud.

Neither《J'ai un peu d'accent ...》nor 《J'ai un peu de l'accent ...》are accepted Sep 2020.

"J'ai un petit accent du Midi" - surely OK?

That's exactly what I put - nul points !

I'm sure I've heard "France du midi" used for the South of France. Am I wrong?

Southern France, also known as the South of France or colloquially in French as le Midi, is a defined geographical area consisting of the regions of France that border the Atlantic Ocean south of the Marais Poitevin, Spain, the Mediterranean Sea, and Italy. Wikipedia
