Finally Finished The Spanish Skill Tree! (Second Tree Finished)
The journey to the end of the Spanish skill tree has been such an awesome and wonderful experience. It could be quite annoying sometimes, (not frustrating through, that was the french tree and when there was no such things as heart refills ;))
I'm not exactly sure how long it took, since it took such a long time to complete. (I sometimes neglected it :/ and sometimes I was extremely busy and didn't have time for a lesson)
What I'm planning on doing now:
Some duolinguers finished the tree with all their skills golden... but in this case, I didn't, so I'm going to try to refresh the tree. (I'm probably also going to use memrise to learn some more vocabulary and also help refresh) Along with that, I'm going to do some Spanish translations and get to level 25 in Spanish. ;)
As I said, it was a wonderful experience, but I'm a bit sad that it's over. For those of you who are still working on the Spanish tree, enjoy while you have it, and keep calm and learn Spanish on Duolingo :D
Good for you. It is a big accomplishment to finish your entire tree. You have a good plan to help you refresh your mind with all the knowledge you have gained.
Great accomplishment!! Do you feel you are retaining your French? Do you try to? Any tips on how to actually manage that?
I haven't refreshed my French in an extremely long time, but what I do is read French books. I think it's actually a pretty good way, and plus you learn more vocabulary. I think I should also refresh my French on Duolingo, since it looks like a rotten weed right now ;)
That is how it is going with me. I read books in Spanish and I feel like I improve a lot that way, but it also helps to keep the Duo tree golden because I seem to need to reinforce the basics or I get sloppy. I mean, it's pretty easy to see the printed words and understand them, but to write or speak correctly requires a lot of drilling and reinforcements of things like gender, conjunctions, verb tenses, etc. To be honest I haven't looked at my Spanish tree in a while... I'm scared I'll get depressed :)
I just visited my French tree... the only two golden things are the trophy, and the possessives skill :)
Felicitaciones!, es el primer post que veo sobre un segundo árbol!
It's interesting to hear an opinion from someone who has been here almost a year and still studying new languages instead of practicing just one. Starting over is not easy but it always feels great to finish!
;) I think I'm not the first to complete two trees. There are thousands of people out there who probably have, and completed more. (Possibly millions)
That's great for you. If you loved doing Spanish on Duolingo then maybe you could try and learn another language on Duolingo
I was thinking about that, but I'm not sure what I want to learn.
I feel great in accomplishing the Spanish tree, it was a wonderful experience and there was a lot of effort put into it.
Congratulations! awesome work and very inspiring. Will take your advice and KEEP CALM!! haha: ) Take couple of lingots : )
Thanks for the lingots, and the compliment ;) I'm pretty sure you'll manage to keep calm in the Spanish tree. :)
Very well-done to you! I'm planning to get to level 25 too, but 30 000 XPs are a lot...but hey...I'm sure we can do it!!!
Of course, it did take a lot of effort to get to level 25, but it actually wasn't too hard. Now that there's translating tiers, when you're on a higher tier, you can earn XPs 5 times faster than before.
