It is just for practice--something duolingo does.

I found it hard to pick up that there was an "i" in the word. I wrote "mangano" instead of "mangiano"

I've noticed that when "g" is followed by either "io" or "ia", it takes the hard English "j" sound (as in "jam"). Otherwise, if it is followed by any other vowel beside "i", it takes the hard English "g" sound (as in grape").

Do correct me if I'm wrong, though.

Is there any way to remember when to use Mangiano or other forms of the verb?

The robotic voice is really stilted in both the regular and slow sample.
