I found it hard to pick up that there was an "i" in the word. I wrote "mangano" instead of "mangiano"

I've noticed that when "g" is followed by either "io" or "ia", it takes the hard English "j" sound (as in "jam"). Otherwise, if it is followed by any other vowel beside "i", it takes the hard English "g" sound (as in grape").

Do correct me if I'm wrong, though.
