Well, from what I can guess it's saying that when you look at a restaurant's bathroom you can make a lot of polite guesses about it, i.e. if the bathroom is clean and well maintained the restaurant will be ok too and so on. Similar comments are occasionally made by overly simplistic people who think they can understand everything about a person by the way they walk or talk.

I sort of do. Have you ever been in a shower, and you've just thought about having all of those arguments you never get to have, or just being alone and solving all the world's problems? It's like that. Don't know why it's a restaurant though.
