Maintaining Speaking Skills

Hey! For all you sexy multilingual people out there, I was wondering how you keep up your speaking skills in your second or third language when you don't have anyone to keep it up with, and if there ever comes a point when you don't have to keep practicing, lest you forget.

I've been reading a lot of books and watching movies in Spanish since my time in South America last year, but when I don't have Spanish speakers to converse with, I worry I'll forget how to talk and only be able to listen to conversations. Thoughts?

Be sure to take a look at http://www.verbling.com to find language partners and just start speaking. I'm convinced that, in an ideal world, merging Duolingo and Verbling would create the ultimate tool for language learning.

For me, there's no substitute for conversation. Depending on where you live, there could be a Spanish speakers meetup in your area, where you could find friendly people to practice with. I would check www.meetup.com. Good luck!
