Please add a word-search function to the Vocabulary page. Thanks.

This suggestion was made once already 6 days ago. As I said then, this would be a great and welcome addition, but in the meantime for easier finding of words you can go to the top of the first column (labeled "Word") and click on the arrows to sort the words into alphabetical order (and reverse alphabetical order by clicking a second time).

I'm glad such a function is in high demand. I'm hoping Duolingo staff will acknowledge one of these threads.

Thank you. Yes, I did that, but with 500 words aleady, it takes too long to scroll down. Not critical anyway. I just look it up on Google Translate on my smartphone. But it would still be nice to see if it's already in my Duo-lingo vocabulary and be able to access the exercises for the word. Definitely just a "nice-to-have" feature, though, not critical. I appreciate the careful thought that went into Duolingo more and more the more I use it. Thanks.

I may have a solution but it is a bit tricky to use: Take this link and replace the parameters with your query: http://duolingo.com/#/word/<language:it/fr/pt/es>/<word>/<category:Verb/Noun/Pronoun/...>

Ex: http://duolingo.com/#/word/pt/fazer/Verb

You have to have learn the word first however, but well it's better than nothing.

Maybe a dumb question, but if you're on a computer, why not use the built-in search function in the browser? cmd F or ctrl F ?

The "Find" function works fine for whatever words are actually showing on the page, but it takes a long time to scroll down 550 words, and I'm not sure it retains them all at the same time on the page anyway. Are you aware of a search function that doesn't have this limitation?

Good idea, but Duolingo doesn't show all of the words in your vocabulary at once, so that might not work. I'll try it though and get back to you.
