Hi! I'm Korean. Nice to meet you.
Hi! I'm Korean. I can't speak English well. And German too. I started studying German in English since last week. Through duolingo, I can learn German and English at the same time! I want to make German friends or friends studying German. Thank you for reading this!
As a german it is so awkward for me to see so many people trying to learn german especially when I see more than enough people living here who don't seem to want to learn german at all.
If you need help with anything ask me :) Good luck and have fun
I totally understand where you are coming from. I live in the southern part of USA and there are tons of Mexicans here (I'm not hating on them) who have no interest in speaking English. I think German is a beautiful language. From pictures, the country looks amazing. I think everybody should know at least two languages. But unfortunately, here is America, many choose not to.
This is true. When I worked in a BPO,I had to call for customers to the USA. I found a lot of people who don't know English in spite of living in the USA and spoke Spanish. I also found some people who didn't know English and spoke Russian.
Hi Kunstkritik......i'm learning German......i am looking for a person with whom i can practice speaking. Would to mind helping me ??? please post a reply......
Deutsche Sprache, schwere Sprache aber Es ist noch kein Meister vom Himmel gefallen. Willkommen, zu Deutsch!
German is hard But Practice makes perfect. :) Welcome, to German!
Hello! I'm Romanian and I'm studying German too. Although I learn German at school I started learning it here on duolingo as well because I want to improve my vocabulary ( I know a lot of grammar and tenses, I just need a bit of practice with usual words, such as names for food or clothing). Good luck with German! :)
Hello there! Good luck and don't give up, German is tough to learn but it's worth it! Keep going!
Hello, and nice to meet you, too! I'm a native English speaker learning German, and, though certain parts are tough for me, I'm enjoying it. I hope you do, too! Kristin
Sorry, just joking around. So how is it so far in english and german? Anything hard?
lol everything is hard. but I think It's better to learn German in English than learn German in Korean. Because there are so many things that is different from Korean Grammar in German! ( If you find wrong English in this writing, please fix it ^_^ )
Hello gncV, and all others as well. I am from Finland, and have just today started studying German here. It's admirable that you are learning German through English, even though you say that you don't speak English so well. Best of luck for your efforts!
I would very much like to learn also at least one Asian language. Korean would be very interesting, but I heard that it is extremely difficult for Europeans to learn. So currently I am studying Indonesian instead :) Alas, Duolingo seems to focus on European languages. If they ever offer a Korean course in the future, I'll surely at least try it :)
