Duolingo for Schools: Time Zones?

Hello all! I'm a Spanish teacher living in Spain, using Duolingo for Schools with students remotely in the US. When I assign work, is it assigned in my time zone, their time zone, or is it automatically adjusted for our individual time zones? I want to give my students clear information about when their work is due. Thank you!

Perhaps it's more useful to edit your post and move it to the Educators forum?

Thanks! I've never posted to the forum, and didn't know that was an option.

You're welcome. Hope they've got good answers for you, since I don't. :)

Did you make sure to follow your post as to not lose track of it? It might take a while for someone that knows about this to answer your question, depending on their timezone.

I would assume that the times you see are for your time zone, so you will have to do a little math to inform your students.

This is a great question and I will ask on the Educator's Network. Hang tight.

I’m about to meet with my student who is in a different time zone than I am—I’ll experiment with her and let you know!

Hi! My student got back to me—the due time is in my time zone, not the student’s. I put noon and she saw a different time. Best of luck!
